Think of this blog as a λ for all the things that I enjoy.

"Victoria concordia crescit”.

I can have a pretty dry/dark sense of humour at times, so if you're offended.. piss off.

"society: oh you have your period? well you have two options.
woman: okay.
society: you can use sanitary pads, which make you feel like you are wearing a diaper, and have the added fun benefit of being extremely uncomfortable and give you the extreme paranoia that they will not be enough coverage and at any moment with any movement or sudden sneeze you'll bleed over onto your clothes and walk around all day with blood stained trousers while everyone points and laughs at you.
woman: sounds awful. what's my second option.
society: a penis shaped wad of cotton that you shove uncomfortably inside yourself and it catches the blood before it leaves your body.
woman: still seems pretty awful.
society: wait! it gets better! there's the outside chance that using those will kill you!
woman: well, are they at least free? like how men can have access to free condoms? i mean, it's not like i'm choosing for this to happen.
society: HAHAHA! that's funny. no, you have to pay for them. and they're really fucking expensive.
society: oh, and if you tell anyone that you ARE on your period, your judgement, opinions, and reactions are going to be dismissed as the crazy ramblings of a lunatic.
woman: i think i'll go with my third option.
society: what third option?
woman: i think i'll bleed on everything you love. "
Posts like the above annoy me.. yeah, fair enough, some women are treated differently because of the views some people have on periods and the menstrual cycle, but..
Comparing sanitary products to condoms is just, not even.. Condoms prohibit the spread of disease (to a degree) and stop unwanted pregnancy.. Yes, before you say.. sex IS a choice.. but it's also a natural part of human life. It might be daft that you can get condoms for free and not women's sanitary products., but condoms aren't just for the male population, they are for the woman's benefit as well. Just because a guy has to put it on his dick doesn't mean that he's the sole beneficiary. Also, I'm pretty sure you can get free female contraceptives, just as easily as male contraceptives.. So why the hate towards men for getting free condoms?
You want to bleed free, then go and bleed free.. but you're only going to get the same reaction as to someone who's left an open wound to bleed all over their clothes, it's unsanitary, in a public domain (using public chairs, seats etc.) and I'm pretty sure that's the only qualm most level headed people would have with it.
